Exporting to your platform

SCORM, xAPI or cmi5: deliver a lesson in your organisation’s training platform.

Many organisations deliver their training in a platform that tracks enrolments, results and certificates. Flow exports your lessons in the formats these platforms expect: SCORM 2004, xAPI and cmi5.

  • SCORM 2004: accepted by most platforms, it reports completion and score.
  • xAPI: reports more detailed tracking of activities, if your platform has a suitable learning record store.
  • cmi5: combines xAPI tracking with the structure of a packaged module, for recent platforms.

If in doubt, ask the person in charge of the platform which format it accepts. SCORM 2004 is the safest choice when nothing else is specified.

  1. In Flow, open the Export menu and choose the format.
  2. Import the resulting .zip file into your platform.
  3. Go through the module as a learner, quiz included.
  4. Check in the platform that completion and score are recorded correctly.
