Lesson 2 of 12 · 10 min

Learnya’s four moves

You discover the four moves that structure all work with an agent: Delegate, Specify, Verify, Sign off.

ObjectiveBy the end of this lesson, you will be able to apply Delegate, Specify, Verify and Sign off to a real task and spot the forgotten move behind a disappointment.

Four moves are enough to work well with an agent. They follow the order of a task, but you will often come back to them along the way. We call them Delegate, Specify, Verify and Sign off.

  • Delegate: decide what the agent takes on and what you keep.
  • Specify: describe the task with a goal, context, constraints and a format.
  • Verify: read the result with a critical eye, check the sources, listen to the challenge.
  • Sign off: approve what commits you, take responsibility, stay transparent and protect the data.

Why four moves and not just one

Most disappointments with AI come from a forgotten move. A poorly chosen task produces useless work, even if it is well done. A vague request produces a generic result. An unverified result lets an error through. An action approved too quickly puts your name on something you have not read.

The four moves do not take much time. For a simple task, they take a few seconds: you know why you are delegating, you write two clear sentences, you skim the answer, you approve. For a heavy task, such as a training campaign or a report for senior management, each move deserves a few minutes.

A complete example

Imagine a training manager preparing an onboarding module for new staff. She delegates the first version of the Flow lesson and the quiz to Learnya, but keeps the choice of key messages. She specifies the audience, the length, the tone and the internal style guide. She verifies that the rules quoted match the regulations in force and reads the challenger agent’s remarks. Finally, she approves sharing in the team’s space, knowing what will be visible, and to whom.

Try it in LearnyaCreate a 15-minute Flow lesson to welcome new staff in the customer service team. Base it on the “Staff regulations” document in the Onboarding project. Warm tone, formal register, three sections and a 5-question multiple-choice quiz at the end. Do not share anything, I will review it first. Try in Learnya

Notice that the four moves are already visible in this request. The task is delegated, the frame is specified, the review is announced and sharing waits for a human decision. The agent knows exactly where its work stops.
