Lesson 12 of 12 · 9 min

A week with the four moves

You follow a real working week in which each day draws on one of the four moves.

ObjectiveBy the end of this lesson, you will be able to organise a real working week around the four moves, from scheduled monitoring to measuring retention.

Here is the week of a training manager who works with Learnya. Each day puts the emphasis on one move, but all four are present from start to finish.

Monday: delegate the monitoring

She schedules a task every Monday at 8:00: a watch on vocational training news in Switzerland. She delegates the gathering and the summary. She keeps the choice of what will be shared with the team.

Try it in LearnyaEvery Monday at 8:00, monitor vocational training in Switzerland: new rules, calls for projects, published studies. Five points at most, one source per point. Send me a notification and do not share anything with the team. Try in Learnya

Tuesday: specify a module

New software is arriving in the accounting department. She asks for a 20-minute Flow lesson, specifying the audience, the goal, the internal documentation as the only source and an exact format: three sections, a matching exercise, a final multiple-choice quiz and a SCORM 2004 export for the existing training platform.

Wednesday: verify

She rereads the lesson, opens the passages cited from the documentation and corrects two steps that changed in the latest version of the software. She then asks for a challenge: “What would an experienced accountant find wrong or naive in this lesson?” A remark about access rights leads her to add a section.

Thursday: sign off

She creates a reinforcement campaign for the department’s cohort, with a spaced-repetition review deck. Learnya prepares the invitation messages and asks for her approval before sending. She checks the list of recipients and the text, then approves.

Friday: measure and start again

Retention tracking shows what the cohort remembers. She spots the questions with the lowest scores and asks Learnya to propose additional cards, which she will review on Monday. The loop starts again, a little more precise than the week before.
