Lesson 2 of 9 · 10 min

Following the plan and the tools

Reading the steps, tools and agents that Learnya brings in for a task.

ObjectiveBy the end of this lesson, you will be able to read and adjust the proposed plan, expand a step to see the tool used and take over the driven browser.

For a multi-step task, Learnya first draws up a plan. It displays it, then moves forward step by step. You see where it stands and what remains to be done. Nothing happens in a black box.

What each step shows

Every tool used appears in the conversation: a web search, reading a file, creating a document. You can expand a step to see what was requested and what came back. Web and academic searches come with citations, which let you trace back to the source.

  • Search: the queries sent and the pages kept, with their links.
  • Files: the documents read or produced, which you can open.
  • Delegated agents: parallel agents tasked with exploring, checking sources or looking for contradictions.
  • Driven browser: the pages Learnya visits and the actions it takes there.

Approving or adjusting the plan

When you ask for it, or when the task is important, Learnya shows you the plan before carrying it out. This is the right moment to correct a misunderstanding, before the work is done.

  1. Read the “Plan proposed” block that appears in the conversation.
  2. If a step is not right, choose “Keep planning” and explain what needs to change.
  3. When the plan suits you, choose “Exit plan & execute”.
  4. During execution, expand a step to see the tool used and its result.
  5. Open the citations to check the source of a statement.

Taking over the browser

Some tasks go through a browser that Learnya drives. If a page asks for an action you would rather do yourself, such as signing in, click “Take over”. The “You’re in control of the page” banner confirms that you are the one driving. Click “Hand back” for Learnya to resume.
