Learnya on the phone and the computer

Choose between the web, the desktop app and the phone depending on the situation.

ObjectiveBy the end of this lesson, you will be able to choose between the web, the desktop app and the phone depending on the situation, and install the app to work on your local files.

Learnya follows you from one device to another. You find the same conversations, projects and files on the web, in the desktop app and on the phone. Each device has its strengths.

Three ways to use Learnya

  • The web, at app.learnya.ai: nothing to install, handy on a shared computer.
  • The desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux: it can work directly on the files on your computer.
  • The phone: to dictate a request, decide on an approval or review between two appointments.

Installing the desktop app

  1. Download the app for your system from the Learnya website.
  2. Install it, then open it.
  3. Sign in with the same account as on the web.
  4. Allow access to the folders Learnya should work on.
  5. In “Settings”, check that notifications are turned on.

On the computer, Learnya can read and produce files in the folders you open to it, without sending them to the cloud. This is useful for a large local folder or for files that must stay on the machine. A conversation that works on local files runs on that computer, and its files do not travel.

Notifications

Notifications arrive on the web, the computer and the phone. They alert you when a task is finished, when an approval is waiting for you or when a watch has found something new. On the phone, an approval can be read and decided in a few seconds, without waiting to be back at the office.

The “Devices & sessions” page in the settings lists the devices connected to your account. If you change phone or computer, sign out the old device from this page.
