Skills, tools and restrictions
Decide which skills and which tools are allowed, and for whom.
ObjectiveBy the end of this lesson, you will be able to decide in the console which skills and tools are allowed, and for which assistants, without weakening approvals.
Learnya has more than forty skills: analysis, writing, code, compliance, review sheets, assessments, clinical notes, transcription and audio rendering, image generation. Each one relies on tools. The console lets you decide which ones are available in the organisation, and for whom.
Three levels of decision
- Organisation: the skills and tools allowed for everyone, or forbidden for everyone.
- Assistant: what a given assistant can use, among what is allowed.
- Action: the approval asked of the user before any action that commits them.
These levels add up. A tool forbidden for the organisation cannot be reopened by any assistant. A restriction takes nothing away from approvals: an authorised send still requires the user’s consent at the moment of acting.
Common restrictions
- Turn off a skill unrelated to your activity, for example clinical notes outside healthcare.
- Reserve sending emails for the assistants that need it.
- Limit the controlled browser to certain assistants.
- Reserve image generation for communications teams.
- Open the console, “Skills” section.
- Turn off the skills your organisation does not use.
- Go to the “Tools” section and identify those that send, publish or delete.
- In “Restrictions”, limit these tools to the assistants that need them.
- Tell the champions and ask them to test their assistants after the change.
After a restriction change, users’ “Activity” screens let you check the real effect: fewer needless approvals, no action outside scope. The audit log, for its part, keeps a record of the change.
